Here He Comes..Here Comes Speed Racer!

Four years ago in Henderson, Nevada Miles made his speedy entrance after going into labor three weeks early, a loooong drive to the hospital, and an epidural that never worked! Good thing it was a short delivery. From the moment I met Miles I fell absolutely and completely in love with him. He came out with a full head of hair but we didn't realize it was RED for a few months! What a happy surprise. Miles was such a joyful baby to have around. He was so happy, that he was given the nickname "SMILES". This kid is witty, thoughtful, stubborn, full of hugs and kisses, and a LOVER of race cars.

I think for a FOUR year old boy this must have been his PERFECT day. Miles woke up to Race Car Decor and a NEW BIKE sitting out just ready for him to jump on. He opened up this big red bag on the table and found a hotwheels helmet to match. Believe me you have never seen a happier kid. Dad made his favorite breakfast...waffles (really anything with syrup). And after getting dressed the family went on a bike ride to try out his new set of wheels. He told everyone that passed that it was his birthday and this was his birthday bike! After the bike ride, Dad took Miles out to lunch for his big day. Of course he chose chicken stars a.k.a Carl's Jr. And then it was time for the BIG Party!

And with his unfailing LOVE of race cars came his request for a SPEED RACER birthday bash! So we loaded up some of his best neighborhood buddies and cousins and headed to Liberty Land Fun Center! Where they could enjoy first hand race cars just their size and a number of other fun rides! For those of you that don't know, Speed Racer's car is the Mach 5 but we made a Mach 4 cake especially for this birthday guy with cute cupcakes surrounding. These are Miles greatest buddies (minus Blake who was out of town). You should have heard their conversation on the ride down. Full of superhero and race car driver deep discussion!A dream come true to ride in a race car with Dad!
Lots of fun rides to keep the munchkins smiling. Although some of them gave the little ones a fright. The bumper boats were a favorite. Stella and my nieces got stuck in the water fountain and were soaked! Stella thought it was great! Finally Speed Racer can try out his skills!
The Party Room!

Notice the smile plastered to his face. I don't think the energy and happiness subsided the entire time. We LOVE you MILO MILO! Happy Birthday Speed Racer!

I know, it is a lot of birthday. Miles and Stella's birthdays are two weeks apart and between the friend and family parties...I am all worn out for parties! Even though they are great fun. Now it is on to Easter. Happy Spring!
