Here are some of the December activities that we have been occupying our holiday time with. Last Monday we went and saw my niece perform in the classic "A Christmas Carol" put on by the Hale theatre. My niece has some serious talent in acting, singing, and just performing in general. This particular performance was one you could take the whole family too. The kids loved it and were a little freaked out by the ghosts too. Brighton kept saying "that's a big mean ghost" and then putting his finger to his mouth and saying "shhhh"! He also was going between me and my mom the entire play. But I can't complain because he was generally well behaved. My other two kids sat still and soaked it all in along with their cousins.
We did our annual gingerbread house building. Every year we discuss how there was no room for the Savior in the inn. So we build a house for him made of love and everything sweet. Stella did think it was funny that we were building such a tiny house for him. Brighton was so excited about the candy he nearly knocked the whole thing over every time he placed a piece of candy on the house. Miles was happy with the masterpiece we created.
It seems like there are so many fun things to do and stress about this time of year. I am trying to stop and smell the cinnamon pine cones instead of getting caught in the rush of it all. We will see if I can contain my festiveness to a healthy holiday level! Happy Holidays.

I love this time of the year too. So many traditions to start and repeat. It's getting more fun for us as our little boys are getting more and more into it. Kids keep everything light, fun, and meaningful.
