Tulips and Soccer

Yesterday we spent the day in the sunshine walking around the thousands of tulips at Thanksgiving Point. It finally felt like spring being surrounded by tulips, daffodils, and hyacinths. Miles and Stella loved checking out all the different colors and especially loved the children's garden and waterfalls! Stella was our map guide and kept us on track! The gardens motivated me to plant even more bulbs this fall. Our tulips at home are slowly starting to open.It was the tulip festival so vendors were out and about. We enjoyed the homemade doughnuts.

Today Stella and Miles had their first soccer game. Stella was a star player. She was out there kicking the ball and running the field like a pro. Miles took awhile to warm up, and it was chilly out, but eventually he was running with the pack. His uniform was huge and it was difficult for him to move around so we are on the hunt for small soccer shorts. It was so fun cheering them on and I was reminded how these activities really are self esteem boosters! GO TEAM!

To follow up on the Stella Bug post...Spencer felt so bad that his baby girl was heartbroken about Cutie (the ladybug) that he jumped right on the internet to find out how to order ladybugs and how to keep them as pets. Today we bought her a proper home for bugs and are evidently going to be housing ladybugs! Thank the heavens for sweet girls and their daddies that adore them.
