Its Spring Up Here

Whew...the wildflowers made it! We were thinking that the snow would never melt and winter would remain year round. But at last spring has arrived in the Wasatch mountains and I can't remember so many beautiful flowers and such a pleasant hike to Cecret Lake. The kids whined a little bit at first. But when they saw the fields of flowers and made it to the lake to find really cool "fish with feet" (salamanders), they realized it was worth all the work to get to better things. A motto I like to live by.

Beautiful photos! It is funny that it took so long for "spring" to get here, huh?

Thanks for the heads up on the flowers, we made it up there on Monday-- beautiful! So glad to have such places right in our backyard :-)
