Three Days of the Fourth

When the Fourth of July falls on a Sunday it becomes a three day holiday in Utah! Some of the festivities were Saturday, a few on Sunday, and the big parade on Monday. But we tend to skip the big stuff and search out the small town, candy throwing parades and festivities. Mt. Pleasant is beautiful this time of year and a great small town to celebrate in. Spencer's family cabin is not far from there so the Snyder's have made this their tradition. And then we go swimming and have a picnic at their cabin's community pool. We counted 121 flags on the trip down and sang patriotic songs like Yankee Doodle. After the picnic we went to my sisters for their big street party. Miles was in heaven when the fishing game was spitting out Hotwheels cars. The HUGE jump houses were a hit. And with never ending nachos, hot dogs, snow cones, and cotton candy the kids got their fill of junk for the year. We stayed for the street fireworks and then saw a lot of big firework sets on our drive home. Stella watches the street fireworks from inside the house because she is not a big fan of the noise. While Spencer was putting Brighton's PJs on he says, "Dad what is knocking on my window?" Spencer replied, "Those are fireworks." The next morning as I lie in bed, Brighton came in about one inch from my face and says "Mom, the fire trucks were knocking on my window last night." Happy Fourth of JULY, may we all remember and appreciate our Freedoms!

You have had some fun celebrations over the past couple of weeks! July 4th looks like a great time. I love little Paislee's headband.

We do like to celebrate. Paislee was looking quite worthy of a photo!
