Mountains and the Men

For me there is nothing like a mountain retreat! Twice a year we go a variety of places with my family. This summer we headed to Snowbird on Father's day for a week of fresh air and fun. It was a great way to spend time with the wonderful men in our lives. I have a wonderful loving and generous father. I am grateful to have married someone with the same standard!

These munchkins are so lucky to have this guy as their Daddy! We did some hiking surrounded in green and waterfalls!
Stella and her favorite cousin Briella. We always get some quality cousin time in on these outings.
The bungee tramp is a favorite activity. Stella flipped her little body around.
The alpine slide was also a highly favored activity. Miles surprised me with his lack of fear! He would push the handle all the way down to full throttle. I was a little scared. My little Speed Racer. My dad even went down this slide a dozen times.
The playground is awesome not to mention surrounded by amazing scenery and filled with some pretty cute kids.

Stella and Miles treasure the rocks they found in this mining activity. They collected quite a variety of rocks and learned the names for each one.

It was difficult to pull Brighton from the jump house and big slide. He also has no fear.

Here we hiked to an observation point with aunt Danelle. They had little stations along the way to read about the area and wildlife. We learned that the blue jays were called Stellar Jays and of course Stella was quite excited about that. She pointed it out every time we saw one. There was all sorts of wildlife that kept the kiddos entertained along the trail.

We also did a lot of swimming in the lodge pool. When we got back from the pool the kids would jump into the room's hot tub. There was a lot of fish time.
Miss Stella practiced and practiced the rock wall...getting a little higher every time.
Riding the tram to the top of the world. There was still a little snow.

At the top! My mom escaped this picture but she was there with us.

It was a great break from the hustle and bustle below. The weather was beautiful and company great! We watched the entire Anne of Green Gables series, ate good food, and played hard. I am glad to have spent some quality time with the family especially those fathers that we love so much! Happy Father's Day!

Snowbird is so much fun... it's been a few years since we've been, but your post made me want to get back there!
