Suburban Baseball

When does pleasant-ville suburbia turn ugly? Apparently when little tykes play baseball! Our last "pee wee" NOT major league game was intense.HA HA! Although, Stella was playing for the Yankees and Miles for the Braves. Despite the intensity of the last game, we had a great baseball season with Stella and Miles. With an unusually cold spring, we endured the rain and wind but got a few sunshine games. Stella and Miles really loved playing baseball taking a great interest in it. I was proud of their skills that developed over the few weeks that they played. There were only a few girls on Stella's team including her friend Ellie. But that didn't stop them from smacking the ball and running the bases as good as the rest of them. One little boy patted her on the back saying "You are a cute girl!" We are in trouble. Cute Miles was all over the place. But he did focus enough to hit the ball and make it to home. We appreciate their coaches and the time that they volunteer. And so it is route route route for the HOME TEAM!
